Sometimes you don’t realise how much you will miss something until you don’t have it. The mindfulness sessions at the start of Seed Run have been a regular fixture for a while now. But Fred was off sick, and Mark from The Grateful Mile was in Dubai, so we had to do without. I think my run suffered as a result! However, I was still grateful to everyone who made the effort. Lovely group of people as always, with lots of entrepreneurs doing interesting things. We may not have been mindful, but there was a lot of chat about accountability. One of our Seed Run regulars, Lachlan, is building a daily accountability app, daily., that helps you prioritise and focus on what’s important. Unsurprisingly, the startup founders in the room were very interested, as solving prioritisation has to be the number one problem for a founder. But how best to engage with an AI? Weekly calls or follow-up reminders? Would b2b be easier, or is that just swapping a product challenge for a sales and marketing challenge? Lachlan is always looking for more feedback. You can try Daily now by calling 07449 624 226. Let me know what you think. Seed Run has always attracted many sports and fitness entrepreneurs. We’ve had the founders of Orb Sports, Runna, Luca Health, upLYFT, and I’m sure many more. So it was great to meet Mitra, who is building Wellcast App. Mitra was previously part of the management team at Fit and knows more about the industry than most people, so I’m excited to see what she is building. Watch this space! Last but not least, at the end of the night, I met Dan. He is building a fascinating business that helps companies manage their employees' fatigue. Think preventing accidents on building sites or oil rigs caused by tiredness. They have developed some very cool tech that uses the camera sensor on a phone to detect how an employee is feeling. The next time I fly, I’d like my pilot to have been checked to ensure they have had enough sleep! I’ll be sending out a date for a June Seed Run shortly. If the weather is nice, we will have a picnic in the park. Looking forward to running with you then |
