On Thursday at Seed Run, Mark White, Run Grateful founder and Fred Destin, Stride.VC led us on a gratitude session where we let go of our day-to-day anxieties and embraced gratitude before we set off on our 5k run. Practising gratitude can be transformational for founders’ well-being. By definition, early-stage founders are in a constant state of imminent failure. Running out of cash is never far away. Practising gratitude is a way to put these stresses into perspective. This morning, I woke up to thoughts of practising gratitude. I found this video by Brother David Steindl-Rast, a Benedictine monk, author, and lecturer renowned for his teachings on gratitude. Worth a watch. Thursday was also our first Seed Run raising money for KOLO. One of our runners, Pavlo, cofounded the charity. They give the Ukrainian army a technological advantage on the battlefield. Thank you to everyone who generously donated. If you missed the opportunity, I have posted a link where you can donate in the comments. At Seed Run, we welcome all runners and walkers. Some of our speed merchants were away this week, so once I told Andrew Bailey he didn't need to make polite conversation with me, he hit the front. He battled with Dan Cobley and Edward Louth to win the limited edition KOLO hoody with its signature Ukraine army X. Well done, Andrew. We're hoping to have at least one more run this year. Keep your eyes peeled for an email. Happy Grateful Running. Henry
